Why Aerification Matters
Aeration is a cultural practice that relieves soil compaction by removing small cores of soil from turf. This creates holes that allow resources to more easily reach the root zone, ensuring the turf’s long-term health and vigor.
- Improves Air and Water Flow: Allows oxygen and moisture to penetrate deeply into the soil rather than pooling or running off the surface.
Maximizes Nutrient Uptake: Ensures fertilizers and naturally occurring nutrients can easily reach and be absorbed by the plant.
Stimulates Root Growth: Gives roots the physical space and resources they need to expand, leading to stronger, more resilient turf that can better withstand stress.
Fall 2026
