Heeil Yang is from South Korea, where he managed his own Trackman Golf Studio, giving private lessons to juniors and adults. He is a current member of the Korea Professional Golfers Association.
Heeil graduated from the Professional Golfers Career College in Orlando FL, with a specialized associates degree in Golf Management. He moved to Kansas in December of 2022 and was hired shortly after by PXG as a Master Club Fitter.
Heeil continues to compete in local Midwest PGA events and is the winner of the 2023 Midwest PGA Stableford Championship. This win qualified him to play in the 2024 Watson Challenge. He was also the runner-up for the 2024 Midwest PGA Associate Player Of The Year. While staying competitive and constantly challenging himself on the course, his true passion lays in elevating his students golf game.
Heeil is currently working through the PGA Associate Program to become a Class A PGA Professional. He also frequently travels to several LPGA events throughout the year, as an assistant coach to his sister, LPGA Major Champion, Amy Yang.
